WanderWallet Is Now Live in Colombia 🇨🇴
We are happy to announce that WanderWallet is now live in Colombia. You can now make local Bre-B transfers directly from WanderWallet, without needing a Colombian bank account.
This is our first Colombia launch step: WanderWallet now supports Bre-B transfers. Travelers can send local Colombian payments directly from the app, without needing a Colombian bank account.
Pay with Bre-B Transfers
Colombia’s new Bre-B system lets people receive payments using simple payment keys, often a phone number, an email, or an alias.
With WanderWallet, you can ask for the recipient’s Bre-B key or phone number, enter it in the app, review the recipient and amount, and confirm the transfer.
How It Works
Open WanderWallet and go to Transfers -> Colombia Bre-B Transfer. Enter the recipient’s payment key, review the exchange rate, fee, and final cost, then confirm.
If you do not see the Colombia option yet, update WanderWallet to the latest version of the app.
QR Is Coming Carefully
Colombia also has QR payments, but not every QR code is the same. Some are Bre-B-compatible, while others belong to a specific bank, wallet, or merchant system. For now, direct Bre-B transfers are the recommended flow.
If QR is the only option somewhere, contact support and we can review whether it can be enabled for you.
Help Us Test It
We are live in Colombia and actively monitoring the launch. Please try it, tell us what works, and let us know where the checkout flow is still confusing.
