Referral Program Terms

Program Operator: Borderless Solutions Limited (the company behind WanderWallet)

1. Program Overview

The WanderWallet Referral Program (“Program”) allows you to invite friends and colleagues to use WanderWallet. When both you and your invitee meet the requirements below, you each become eligible to claim a reward in USDC.

Referral rewards are distributed through a smart contract claim, the same mechanism used for WanderWallet ReRefunds. Borderless does not send funds to you directly. Instead, a claimable amount is created in the smart contract, and you claim it yourself through the app. This is consistent with WanderWallet’s self-custodial model.

This is a promotional program run by Borderless Solutions Limited. By participating, you agree to these terms and acknowledge that you have read and understand them.

2. How the Program Works

2.1 Your Referral Code

Your referral code is your WanderWallet username. You can share this code with anyone to invite them to use WanderWallet. There is no limit to how many people you can invite.

2.2 When Both Parties Get Rewarded

You and your friend each become eligible to claim $5 USD in USDC when:

  • Your friend signs up using your referral code
  • Your friend completes the qualifying payments milestone (see Section 3)
  • Both accounts are verified and active at the time the reward claim is created
  • Neither account violates the prohibited conduct rules (see Section 5)

2.3 Reward Details

  • Reward amount per successful referral: $5 USDC to you, $5 USDC to your friend
  • Rewards are created as a claimable smart contract position (the same mechanism as ReRefunds described in Section 5.2 of the main Terms & Conditions)
  • Once the qualifying milestone is met, the claim becomes available in your app. You must claim the reward manually.
  • Unclaimed rewards remain in the smart contract. Borderless does not hold, control, or have access to unclaimed rewards.
  • There is currently no expiration date on unclaimed rewards, but we reserve the right to introduce one with notice.

3. Qualifying Milestone

Your friend (the referred user) must complete all of the following to trigger your reward:

  • 5 completed payments to 5 different merchants
  • Each payment must be at least $4 USD equivalent
  • Total value of qualifying payments must be at least $20 USD
  • Payments must be merchant payments (not P2P transfers, not USDC withdrawals)
  • All transactions must be completed and settled (no pending, failed, or reversed transactions)

Merchants are identified by their merchant/tax ID. Payments to the same merchant multiple times only count as one merchant for this requirement.

4. What Doesn’t Count

The following transactions do NOT count toward the qualifying milestone:

  • Person-to-person (P2P) transfers between WanderWallet users
  • USDC withdrawals or conversions to other currencies
  • Pending, failed, or reversed transactions
  • Transactions that are later charged back or disputed
  • Payments to merchant accounts that you control or are related to you

5. Prohibited Conduct

We reserve the right to withhold or void rewards if either party engages in any of the following:

  • Creating fake or duplicate accounts to artificially inflate referrals
  • Using bots, automated tools, or scripts to generate payments
  • Coordinating multiple accounts to split or structure payments to hit the $20 threshold
  • Making payments to merchant accounts you control or that are affiliated with you
  • Buying, selling, or transferring referral codes
  • Misrepresenting WanderWallet to convince someone to sign up
  • Any other fraudulent or abusive activity

6. Account Requirements

Both your account and your friend’s account must be:

  • Fully verified (KYC completed)
  • Active and in good standing
  • Not suspended or closed

If either account is closed, suspended, or fails verification before the reward claim is created, neither party will receive the reward.

7. Tax Responsibility

You are responsible for all tax obligations related to rewards received through this Program. Borderless Solutions Limited does not provide tax advice. Please consult a tax professional if you have questions about your tax liability.

Rewards may be considered taxable income in your jurisdiction. We recommend keeping records of all referral rewards.

8. Program Modifications and Termination

We may:

  • Change the reward amount
  • Modify the qualifying milestone
  • Add or remove geographic regions
  • Pause or terminate the Program at any time
  • Change these terms with notice

If you earned rewards before a change, you keep them. Changes apply only to new referrals going forward.

9. Reward Forfeiture and Recovery

We reserve the right to void unclaimed reward positions, withhold future rewards, suspend or terminate accounts, and pursue recovery of rewards already claimed if we discover:

  • Either account was involved in fraud or abuse
  • The qualifying transactions were reversed, disputed, or invalid
  • The account information was false or misleading
  • You violated these terms or WanderWallet’s main Terms & Conditions

By accepting these terms, you agree that any reversal or voiding of a reward under this section is made with your consent and that such action is authorized by you.

Where a reward has already been claimed, you agree that Borderless may offset the amount against any future rewards, credits, or claims owed to you, or pursue recovery through other means.

9.1 Reversal of Qualifying Activity

If your friend (the referred user) reverses any of the actions that qualified them for the reward, such as disputing or reversing qualifying transactions, closing their account, or failing to maintain their account in good standing, then both the referrer and referee reward claims may be voided, even if one or both rewards have already been claimed.

10. Consent and Verification

By sharing your referral code, you consent to:

  • Us tracking the referrals made using your code
  • Us verifying that qualifying transactions occurred
  • Us verifying both account statuses before creating reward claims

11. Relationship to Main Terms & Conditions

These terms govern the referral program specifically. The WanderWallet Terms & Conditions govern all other aspects of your use of WanderWallet, including account creation, payments, prohibited conduct, and dispute resolution.

In case of conflict between these Referral Program Terms and the main Terms & Conditions, the main Terms & Conditions control, except as explicitly stated in these terms.

12. No Guarantee

The Program is provided “as-is.” We do not guarantee:

  • That your referral will be successful
  • That the referred user will complete the qualifying milestone
  • That rewards will be issued at any particular time
  • The Program will be available in any particular region

13. Questions or Disputes

If you believe a referral was not properly credited or a reward was incorrectly withheld, contact us at support@wanderwallet.io. Please provide your username, the referred user’s username or email, the date they signed up, and any other relevant details.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued participation in the Program after a change means you accept the new terms.
